Great tool, great kit, though the manual is not very clear. The crimp tool is much easier to use if you observe the following tips (presented here in order of use):

    • To preserve a cable's correct wiring, first snip off the old connector, leaving 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5 to 4 cm) of wires connected to it, for reference. Then strip the old connector's skin, arrange its wires to match the order visible in the connector, sandwich its wires in the correct arrangement with clear tape, then double check the arrangement.

    • After cutting off the old connector, be sure to thread the new connector's cover (if used) over the cable, to avoid forgetting to do so.

    • Strip off the cable's skin about 2.5 inches (6.4 cm), to facilitate threading the cable's wires through the new connector.

    • Stripping might be easier with a razor-blade knife. Be extremely careful not to nick the wires. Once the skin is punctured in one or two places, you might be able to simply tear it off, especially if you first bend the cable at the puncture(s).

    • After stripping the skin, check that you haven't nicked the wires, then separate the wires and straighten each of them by repeatedly pulling your pinched fingers over it.

    • The precise color scheme of a cable's wires might differ from the crimp tool's diagrams, but should still be clear enough to match them.

    • Before threading the wires into the connector, check that you are holding the connector in the correct orientation (and not upside down).

    • Each time you thread a wire through the connector, bend the end of the wire, to help prevent the wire from slipping out.

    • When threading the next wire, aim it toward the previous wire, to meet the correct hole in the connector.

    • Double check the wires' color arrangement is correct.

    • Push the cable as far as possible into the connector, alternately pulling on the ends of the wires (all at the same time).

    • To lock or release the crimp tool, squeeze it closed and press one end or the other of the LOCK button.

    • To crimp a connector, insert the connector in the front (more extensively labeled) face of the crimp tool, with the connector's tab downward (exposing the connector's crimping area to the crimp blade). Check that the wire colors basically align with the color diagrams on the front. (Apparently depending on manufacturer, the precise colors may differ from the diagrams, but their order is still visibly the same.)

    • Crimping automatically clips the ends of the wires.

How it fits in my hand, and the smooth operation. I did encountered a initial issue during the first use. The lock button was stuck. Once it was unlocked it worked perfectly. I did not used the cable stripper or cutter operation.

Great product, but the instructions left a lot to be desired. Having never used a ethernet crimping tool, it was basically up to the user to discover the proper technique. Once discovered, it was easy to use.

The included instruction booklet doesn't match the tool, completely different but easy enough to figure out without the guide. The boots that go over the RJ45 connectors are not very flexible and difficult to install.
The pass-through passage of the RJ45's themselves are snug for real 23 gauge copper CAT6, might be easier with the cheaper 24 gauge CCA cable. All in all, the tool makes decent crimps and cut wire ends cleanly.

This is a very simple tool to use. Using a YouTube video I was able to figure out how to properly use it. You just have to make sure to squeeze down pretty hard for the provided clips to crimp properly. The wire cutter portion of this tool isn’t great so you have to be careful not to cut more wire than necessary. I was using this to cut and crimp CAT5 cable and it got the job done. I recommend purchasing a network cable tester to make sure your connections are all good.

The tool is light and easy to use even for smaller hands. The crimping blade in mine either came chipped in the corners or became chipped after one or two crimps. This prevents a clean cut and can damage ports.

I just got this tool and haven't used it yet. The tool set looks and feels like what was promised.
My reason for this comment is that some of the product descriptions didn't mention the yellow jacket stripper/ punch down tool shown in a photo or two. Although it is nothing fancy, it WAS included in my shipment.
In summary, I am pleased with what I received!
