SAMSUNG QN43QN90BAFXZA 43″ QLED Quantum Matrix Neo 4K Smart TV with an Additional 1 Year Coverage by Epic Protect (2022)

Firstly, the package arrived before due date nicely packed and secure. We had a concern due to the light in our space but the colors and picture definition on this model looks amazing; so is the sound. Was an easy set up when used with phone. Still have to figure out a few menus (when turned on, it defaults to a network I don't like). No manual in the box, so will have to search for one online.

Also see "Update" at the end ... This is a truly underwhelming television. Instead, I highly recommend Samsung's $300 model, it looks better and costs 25% of this dud. Picture quality is awful. Either dull and dark, or bright and washed out. Can't find any setting that looks really good much less one that justifies 4x the price of their $300 model. The remote is cheap, simplistic, minimalistic and not intuitive or ergonomic (it prioritizes payola deal buttons with streaming services.) There's not even a power button on the TV itself. You have to go through a menu button just to turn it off. Walts TV promised a delivery date that was not only not met, but just after I made the purchase, I was quickly sent a delayed delivery notice. They inflated their delivery date to get my business. FedEx didn't deliver it when stated (and when I was available to accept it,) pushed delivery two days, then one day later I come home and find an $1,100 TV sitting outside my door. Walts TV screwed up and shipped it FedEx and FedEx never meets delivery dates on time anymore. That old "If it absolutely has to be there on time" claim is ancient history and totally bogus now, and Walts TV should know that and should state realistic delivery dates or at least delivery windows (best delivery date to a conservative one.) Walts TV should have shipped with Amazon. And I should have saved $600 (I didn't pay list) and purchased the $300 set at Sam's Club. Or a different brand. UPDATE: Had to replace my awful X1 Comcast DVR. Once replaced, the image on my Samsung TV did improve. DVRs do affect the picture quality as I've learned. Also, the rechargeable battery/solar recharge function on the remote is an improvement over traditional remotes; I should have mentioned that.

Slower to navigate than my previous Samsung smart tv (q60) and changing inputs is a tedious trial. Picture quality for movies, TV, and videogames looks great. Plenty of HDMI inputs for my electronics, and the ARC feature works better than my previous TV. Looking forward to years of use. I wish I could disable permanently (instead of ignore periodically) the alexa, Google, and Bixby features.

Works well.

Samsung is a very reliable product.

There are some issues (below), but this gets five stars for picture quality. Moreover, up to now I had never had a TV outperform the AI upscaling of my Nvidia Shield Pro. This most certainly does perform well. 1080 content is indistinguishable from 2160. Build quality is also first-rate. Physically, this is a well designed product.

Plays very well with my Onkyo AV receiver. The internal speakers are better than most.

This replaces a mediocre (though expensive) Sony Bravia which is an Android TV.

Issue 1: There is no manual. Supposedly the ARC HDMI input is labeled. It was not. I had to call Samsung Tech support. To tell you the truth, after I hung the thing on the wall I could not find where the power cord connected.

Issue 2: The one virtue of the Sony was the Android interface. Using one's Google account and stored passwords the setup is infinitely faster and easier than the Samsung platform. Navigation is more intuitive with Android. The Samsung will take some getting used to.

I do not have a cable box nor an antenna. I view what I can stream. There are far more Android apps than Samsung apps.
